Ok, so here’s the deal with summer weather in San Francisco. First of all, it’s COLD at night and in the morning (in the 50s). In the summer, the fog comes in at morning and stays until about noon or so, where it usually burns off and then it’s sunny and warm all day. It basically seems like it’s gray and cloudy in the morning, but it’s actually fog. So it’ll be like this until Sept, Oct and Nov, which is when it’s sunny and hot every day. Yeah, it’s weird, they have a delayed summer, but even into November it’s in the 80s and sunny. So I’m just still really really digging the city and the people and everything, my only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner, but then, I don’t think it was the right time until now.
Another fun fact is that there are more dogs than children in San Francisco. There are 800,000 residents in the city proper, 300,000 registered dogs and only 20,000 registered children. Also, Chris (Half-Japanese) told me that the part of the Mission that I’m looking in is controlled by two warring gangs, but as long as I don’t look like I’m in a gang or do shifty stuff at night, I should be fine. It’s beautiful during the day, really. And I look like about the furthest thing from a gang member, so I think I’ll be fine. Should ask the potential roommate today about that…
